As a midwife, I believe that you are the expert when it comes to you, your baby, and your family.  Informed choice is at the center of the practice and families are true partners in their care.  I offer a full range of standard tests and procedures throughout your prenatal, birth and postpartum period while providing quality, evidence based and non-biased information with which you can make decisions that are best for you.

I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are natural processes in a person's life and best unfold when left alone, when possible. Interventions in the process are not routine and are undertaken only when necessary and after careful consideration of all options and potential consequences. We are lucky to have various other medical professionals with whom to collaborate and, when necessary, to refer when necessary.

Relationships are key!  During your prenatal visits, we will spend time getting to know each other so that you are completely comfortable with your team when your birthing time comes.  Not just the physical, but the emotional and mental aspects of pregnancy will be addressed and trust developed so that you feel completely at ease and safe during your birth.
